Each week I aim to bring you a varied selection across these bass driven genres and releases this week will take you from warm-up to peak time to the afters. Save ‘em down because the weekend’s knocking.
My Record of the Week this week comes from Dutch producer Semmi Amdouni with a very unique UKG record. It blends that classic 90s house female vocal with a modern bassline and some funky little samples thrown in for good measure.
If you didn’t manage to cop Oldboy & DJ Cosworth’s ‘Mastaz At Work’ release on Dr Banana’s label then this solo EP drop by Oldboy may go some way to filling that gap. Great for the warm-up.
Some of my personal favourites are the 140 picks this week. Reese, JAZ IMSKY - Let Go Of Me is a low end beat that should really only be listened to in the smokey fog at Manchester’s The White Hotel.
Pugilist has dropped an atmospheric, spacey number on Shall Not Fade that should be locked-in as an essential for any afters this weekend.
Plenty more to get your ears round. Until next week.

Conducta @ Hush: One of Bristol’s finest has dropped two big YouTube sets recently, one for Keep Hush and one for Rinse FM. This one has been on repeat for me so it was an easy pick for this week’s set.
The Kiwi record’s boss has been at the forefront of UKG since the 2010’s. His Dub of AJ Tracey’s Ladbroke Grove was an incredible record and his set below shows he’s still running the game.

Only ever dropped as part of a mix, we’ll likely never see the full release
