Happy Easter all, hope everyone’s looking forward to the long weekend, in aid of Jesus’ resurrection this week we have a special highlighting releases across Christian Electronic Music.
Nah f*ck that. These one’s will ensure your nan stays disappointed with you as you blast these over the lamb and roasties.
Record of the Week - TOM LECHEF - Buss It
Tom actually had another record of the week with Don Dada in a previous issue and whilst these newsletters will always aim to give a carefully curated pick across a variety of labels and genres. You’ve got to give flowers where they are due. This is off his full EP release on Southpoint, check out the whole thing.
Beyond that we’ve got one off a label I’ve had my eye on for a while - DBA. NC - Easy Now Man is a proper stomper and needs to be played loud. If you’re looking for "wobs” Osmosis Jones - All The Money In The World is bringing back OG Bassline and I’m here for it, the bars go hard.
Declan Knapp - Over With You brings us a melodic, spacey number just right for longer introspective evenings this Spring. On the flip slide if you want some heavy breakbeat to get the pre-drinks going ahead of the stacked line-ups this Easter, check out Hankook - Underground Queen.
As ever, hit up the free downloads, this might be my favourite selection so far. Who needs Chocolate Eggs.
Hit the comments button at the top of this page and share your thoughts or any other records you’ve been rinsing - I’d love to hear from you.
Plenty more to get your ears round. Until next week.

Fred again.. & Thomas Bangalter @ Ally Pally: I often have mixes on repeat throughout the week, it’s rare that I have to actively stop playing them because they are so distracting I can’t get my 9-5 work done.
Fred brought out one half of Daft Punk during his USB002 tour and it really is that good. A live mash-up of Daft Punk’s, Fred’s and some cult underground classics (such as Sammy Virji’s take on Tessla’s Hackney Parrot) throughout. At one point they just play Usher - Yeah! completely unremixed and somehow it fits the vibe perfectly.
This doesn’t need any more yapping. It needs listening to. Although do check the comments, Fred has dropped the set list and his thoughts on key moments. Enjoy.
Sammy Virji - Hackney Pigeon
UKG / 140
A modern tribute to a cult classic
